FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS ABOUT BOOKING A TOUR

What if I have never organized a trip with students?

No problem! Every day we work with both the seasoned traveler and the first time group leader alike. Our philosophy- Measure Twice, Cut Once. In other words, it all comes down to planning and preparation. Don’t worry, we’ll guide you every step of the way.

How do I pick my travel dates?

Easy, just pick the dates that work best for you. You can travel any day of the week, any time of the year. The price is the same. It’s generally a good idea to survey your students and check the school calendar to avoid conflicts.

Do I need my principal and/or school board to approve the trip?

Not necessarily, it’s really up to you. Increasingly, more trips are not affiliated with the school, particularly if you’re not traveling during school session. In these cases, we won’t put the school name on any of the paperwork and you’ll have greater control and flexibility to organize the trip. Please call us and we can discuss this in greater detail.

What if I am a small group?

We suggest you work with another teacher, class or club in your school (or nearby school) to get more students involved. Our group minimum is 20 but larger groups benefit from cheaper pricing. Junior Tours never combines you with strangers.

What will Junior Tours send to help plan the tour?

Once you advise us of the dates and destination for your trip , we’ll send you:
• Itemized confirmation of your tour package
• Registration forms to pass out to your students
• Posters and other promotional items
• Free scratch card fundraiser
• General forms to assist you

How is the payment schedule set up?

We’re flexible but usually suggest you collect a $200 per person deposit about one month after booking. From there, most groups collect about $200-$300 per person every other month until eight weeks before departure when the final balance is due.

What if I don’t want to handle any money?

No problem, we can do it all for you.   Parents can register on our website and make all payments directly to us.  Click here for more details.

Can I cancel the trip after I book in?

Of course. You cancel for any reason prior to sending us a deposit without further obligation or charge. We realize that there’s no way to predict the interest level of a trip without first booking it and then asking for a deposit.
