SAFETY FIRST

STUDENT TRAVEL SAFETY REMINDERS

For over 45 years, Junior Tours has regarded the safety of each tour participant and employee its number one priority. We have adopted guidelines and established safety protocols to ensure our groups have a safe and enjoyable experience.

  • We are active members of the National Tour Association, Student & Youth Travel Association and the American Bus Association. As such, we maintain a multi-million dollar liability insurance policy and are in strong financial standing.
  • An officer of Junior Tours is on-call and available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Our office staff has gone through extensive emergency crisis planning. Junior Tours has had meetings with representatives from the National Transportation Safety Board and American Red Cross discussing crisis preparedness.
  • At the beginning of the tour, each tour participant is provided an emergency procedure card and/or lanyard containing the toll-free numbers for the Junior Tours Office and 24-hour Call Center. Group Leaders are instructed to bring signed Medical Release Forms, provided by Junior Tours or their school, with them on tour.
  • Our groups are escorted by our professional tour guides for the entire duration of their stay. Each tour guide is required to pass a background check. Each tour guide is required to carry a cell phone and provide that number to each tour participant and Junior Tours.
  • We arrange security at your hotel each night to make sure our groups are safe and secure. The bus companies we charter with have proper licensing and have met Department of Transportation standards.
