Hello Friends,
As another school year comes to a close, I want to share some personal news and express my deepest gratitude to everyone who contributed to another incredible tour season.
As many of you know, Junior Tours has always been a family-run business. My father, Marty Abrams, founded the company in 1976. I joined in 1995 alongside my sister, Debra Lisser, and together we’ve built an amazing team of dedicated professionals and passionate tour guides who love creating incredible travel experiences for teachers and students.
This week marks Debra’s final days with Junior Tours as she begins her well-earned retirement. She’s heading to sunny Florida to spend more time with family and friends. While I’m thrilled for her, I’ll miss seeing her every morning and sharing in the journey we’ve been on. Working together has been one of the great joys of my life. Our partnership has always been guided by the values our father instilled in us: Treat people right, keep your promises, and never cut corners.
Looking ahead, I’m excited to announce that the next generation is joining the business. My son Noah and Debra’s son Alex will be coming on board this summer. They are both bright, hardworking, and passionate about student travel—just like their grandfather was. Their arrival isn’t just a milestone; it’s a continuation of the legacy that has defined Junior Tours for nearly 50 years.
At our core, Junior Tours is, and has always been about people. The relationships we’ve built with teachers over the decades have sustained us. Many of you have become a part of our extended family. We thank you for your trust, your loyalty, and for being such an important part of our story. We can’t wait to write the next chapter together.
Wishing you a joyful summer filled with rest, laughter, and time with those you love.
With heartfelt gratitude,
Rich Abrams
