STARS Performance Programs & Educational Tours
Beyond the fun, Universal Studios has invested heavily in youth and educational programs that can transform your trip into a true learning experience. Performing arts groups can perform live in the parks for hundreds of guests or take part in hands-on workshops with industry professionals to focus on skills like improvisation, vocal technique, or behind-the-scenes production.
Performance at the Stage After CityWalk
Choirs, orchestras, and dance groups take the stage at a Universal CityWalk Lagoon Stage or another on-site venue (based on availability and program requirements). Perform for peers, parents, and guests entering the park with Universal’s signature sound and lighting support
Special F/X Workshop
This hands-on session gives musical theatre and drama students an interactive, behind-the-scenes look at how Universal brings stores to life both on and off the stage. In exploring how sound, lighting, props, and visual effects work together to build cinematic moments, students also gain a deeper understanding of career paths in film, television, and live entertainment production.
Dance Workshop
Dance teams and musical theatre programs work directly with a Universal choreographer to learn original choreography inspired by Universal’s iconic movies, TV shows, and parades. Students gain insight into performance quality, stage presence, rehearsal techniques, and what it takes to bring high-energy routines to life on a professional stage.
Choir / Vocal Workshop
Bring a piece from your current concert program and watch it come to life under the guidance of a Universal vocal professional (or opt to learn a new piece designed for this session). Students will learn to refine vocal techniques, performance preparation, and skills performers need to succeed on stage or in the studio.
