Tinseltown Tango by Phil Swann – a super fun cozy mystery. A nice getaway.
Eleanor Oliphant was a lovely book about a lovely outcast who found her happy place.
The Baseball 100 by Joe Posnanski.
makes me fall in love with baseball all over again.
Unbroken by Laura Hillenbrand. This is such a great read!
I read my first graphic novel HEARTSTOPPER by Alice Oseman.
I spent last summer reading the entire Bridgerton Series. It was a great getaway!
Blessed are the Misfits by Brant Hansen. Such a great read!
“You are a Badass: How to Stop Doubting Your Greatness and Start Living an Awesome Life” by Jen Sincero. It has changed my whole outlook. I bought my entire team a copy.
I read Prisoner B-3087 by Alan Gratz with my 8th grade class. Wonderful book detailing the life of a young Jewish boy during the Holocaust and how he survived. Great way to connect the study of WWII and the Holocaust with the students. Definitely led to some great discussions.

I have read Where The Crawdads Sing by Delia Owens. Several of the girls in my class have read it along with me and we had an afterschool book discussion on it.

The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo was INCREDIBLE.
I have begun reading all of Ian Rankin’s books and it started with Witch Hunt. He bases his books in England and Scotland and they are really interesting.
I am also reading books by Patricia Cornwell as her books just grab my attention and don’t let go!
During COVID I decided to take one author at a time and read all of their books. It started with Michael Connelly, then David Baldacci and here we are on Patricia Cornwell and Ian Rankin simultaneously.
My favorite book is 7 Habits of Highly Effective Teens by Sean Covey. The lessons I have taught my students from this book have changed lives and if the world followed these steps we would be closer to world peace.

Oathbringer by Brandon Sanderson. I love his fantasy worlds.
My favorite book from the past year is The Screwtape Letters by CS Lewis. Interesting perspective I had never considered before, and I love CS Lewis.
The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue by V.E. Schwab was a fantastic read that had history, fantasy and several notable locations including my favorite place to tour with Junior Tours- New York City! Because of my thorough tour with this company, I recognized sooooo many locations I’ve spent time.

I just finished A CURRICULUM OF IMAGINATION IN AN ERA OF STANDARDIZATION: An Imaginative Dialogue with Maxine Greene and Paulo Friere by Robert Lake. Discusses the power and necessity of incorporating opportunities for students to use imagination in our classrooms.

I have learned an incredible amount about the history and culture of Quebec while reading the series. FAUBLOUS!!

THE LORD OF THE RINGS by Tolkien … Because sometimes you just have to go back and read a classic!
My favorite book is Dairy Queen!
This year, I read Generation iY by Tim Elmore, and it was an outstanding guide for how to understand and help motivate the younger teachers I mentor and work with!
My favorite book I’ve read this year is “It Ends with Us” by Colleen Hoover! If you haven’t jumped on the Colleen Hoover train yet.. you need to! All of her books are AMAZING!
I read Riding the Storm by Brenda Jackson. It inspires me to remember all of the good things in life.
I am actually home with good ole’ COVID. 19. The downtime allowed me to read “Radium Girls.” Wow!
I read a book called “Every Moment Matters.” It’s a book about coaching but relates to teaching as well. It is basically about the fact that you never know as a leader the impact your words and actions will have on kids so you should always be aware of how your words could impact kids.
I read A MONSTER CALLS for research on a play we were doing. It is such a fantastic story! The play is beautiful too, by the way.
To start the new year, I read BECOMING AGELESS by Strauss Zelnick. It was an inspirational book with real life suggestions that motivated me to live a healthy life in body and soul!
